Illizi city sand impact on the output of a conventional solar still

Lack of drinking water is a global problem and especially in overdeveloped countries. this why many research laboratories are focused on solving problem. one the simplest, economical, environmental methods use conventional solar stills. Sand from city Illizi southern Algeria was used our to see how it affected distillation. So, with dimension (0.50 x 0.50 m), two identical stills were evaluated, as still reference (SSR) other modified (SSM). The SSM contains sand. findings reveal that there no discernible difference performance improvement rate extremely low, at 0.67 %.
